Wild As a main player, after allies are assigned, you may steal the power of any ally (your or your opponent's) for that encounter. You have the stolen power instead of your own, and the affected ally does not have the power, until the end of the encounter.
Super If you have your own power and have a colony in the system of any player who wins the game, the win is ignored and instead you win alone.

Plant is an alien that can steal the power of any other players in whose home systems it has a colony. The newest version of Plant appears in Cosmic Incursion. This version is significantly weaker, as it can only graft during the planning phase as opposed to any time it is a main player. This means that about one-third of all the aliens in this edition are useless to Plant, as they either have powers that are not used during the planning phase or can easily get around Plant by using their powers early.

Version: Cosmic Incursion

You have the power of Grafting. As a main player, before encounter cards are selected, you may use this power to graft any one player in whose home system you have at least one colony. If that player has not lost his or her power, you steal that power until the end of the encounter. If you lose your own power, you may not graft any power until you get your own back.

"This species of Plant combines the longevity of the redwood, the persistence of the weed, and the delicacy of the fern. Slowly grafting to themselves the traits of others, they can afford to quietly wait until their enemies grow tired, then spread their tendrils unopposed throughout the Cosmos."

Wild If you have your own power and have a base on the system of any player who wins the game, the win is ignored and instead you win alone.
Super As a main player you may borrow the power of any ally (yours or your opponent's) for that challenge, even if you have no base there. He loses use of his power. This borrowing takes the place of your normal grafting.

Wild As offensive player, you may graft tokens from a base you share. They act as your tokens for the rest of the challenge.
Super If you have a base in the system of any player who wins the game, that win is ignored and you win instead.

You have the power of grafting. As a main player in a challenge, if you have a base in another player's system and that player has not lost his power, you may use his power and he may not. To do this, you announce before Challenge Cards are played that you are taking over the use of his power during the challenge. You may graft only once per challenge, and at the end of that challenge his power returns to him. If you lose your own power, you may not graft any power until you get your own back.

Whenever you are the offensive or defensive player, if you have a base on another player's system and that player has not lost his power, you may use his power and he may not. To do this, you announce before challenge cards are played that you are taking over the use of his power during the challenge. You may graft only once per challenge, and at the end of that challenge his power returns to him. If you lose your own power, you may not graft any power until you get your own back.

Plant first appeared in the first Eon expansion.

Mayfair

Plant appears in MCE. It is given a few restrictions; namely it cannot be used in a game with Schizoid or Wraith.

Strategy

Plant is an alien which gets much stronger over time. As it accumulates colonies (and therefore powers), it not only increases its own options, but in effect also becomes a limited Cosmic Zap on any power where it has a foreign colony.

Notes

• On all versions of Plant so far, it is stated that Plant cannot use its power to graft any other player's power if it has lost its own power. Why this is explicitly stated is unknown, as it is essentially saying "you cannot use your power if you have lost your power"; however, it could simply be a reminder that if Plant has lost its own power, it cannot use any other players' powers even if they have not lost theirs.
