Cosmic Eons is the sixth expansion for the FFG edition of Cosmic Encounter, released in 2016. It includes 30 all-new aliens designed by Bill Eberle and Peter Olotka, two of Cosmic Encounter's original designers. It introduces the new Essence mechanic: seven of the new aliens have a special deck of half-size cards that they can use to leave continuing effects around the game. It also includes dials to be used for the Hidden Alliances variant, where all players secretly and simultaneously select which main player they will ally with rather than send ships in turn order.
